Here we are in February and I've already broken five of my New Year's resolutions. But how could you not with all the new temptations in the city: Stoddard's Fine Food & A le, Market at the W, Ken Oringer's Coppa and Woodward at the Ames hotel, to name a few. And having a property here from the Morgans Hotel Group—which owns other stars like the Delano in Miami Beach and the Mondrian in Los Angeles, South Beach and, soon, New York—helps to boost Boston's image as a world-class destination.
Speaking of world-class brands, Tiffany & Co. recently celebrated its 25th anniversary in Boston, and Rolls-Royce unveiled its newest ride, the Ghost. Car nut that I am, I had to check it out. The brand has always been classic and elegant, but the Ghost is the first sexy Rolls-Royce. Just ask fellow auto aficionado and Boston Ballet artistic director Mikko Nissinen, who took it for a spin and wrote about the experience for us.
We've added two new fashion players to the magazine's roster: designer Daniela Corte and Corinne Grousbeck, wife of Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck. And speaking of the Celtics, if the way Grousbeck's team is playing now is any indication, we’ll be watching them drive into the playoffs in April.
